Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, जिनका पूरा नाम Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam था, भारत के सबसे प्रेरणादायक वैज्ञानिक, शिक्षक और राष्ट्रपति माने जाते हैं। He is remembered not just as a President, but as a teacher, nation-builder, and visionary who changed the direction of Indian science and education.

Early Life – साधारण परिवार से Extraordinary Vision तक
Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam का जन्म 15 अक्टूबर 1931 को रामेश्वरम (तमिलनाडु) में हुआ। उनका परिवार economically weak था, लेकिन values, discipline और education पर बहुत जोर दिया जाता था।
They sold newspapers as a child, worked hard, and focused only on education and excellence. यही reasons थे जिन्होंने Kalam को एक ऐसे scientist में बदल दिया जिसने भारत की direction बदल दी।
The Journey of a Scientist – ISRO से DRDO तक
Abdul Kalam ने अपने career की शुरुआत DRDO (Defence Research & Development Organisation) से की, लेकिन उन्हें असली पहचान मिली ISRO में काम करते हुए।
उन्होंने India का पहला satellite launch vehicle SLV-3 तैयार किया, जिसने Rohini satellite को orbit में स्थापित किया।
Later, उन्होंने multiple missile projects जैसे:
- Agni
- Prithvi
- Trishul
- Akash
को सफलतापूर्वक lead किया। इसी वजह से उन्हें “Missile Man of India” कहा गया। उनकी leadership ने India को self-reliant in defence technology बनाने में बड़ी भूमिका निभाई।

2002 में Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam India के 11th President बने।
People loved him because he stayed humble, simple, and deeply connected to students and youth.
He believed:
“Dreams are not what you see in sleep, dreams are what don’t let you sleep.”
President रहते हुए भी उनका focus education, career growth और youth empowerment पर ही रहा।
Education Contribution
Dr. Kalam का सबसे बड़ा passion था Education. उनका मानना था कि India तभी आगे बढ़ेगा जब इसका youth शिक्षित और skill-oriented होगा।

He believed that every child has infinite potential.
They just need strong values, good education, and a dream worth chasing.

Legacy – When Abdul Kalam Became Eternal
27 July 2015 को Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Shillong में students को lecture देते हुए collapse हो गए।
Even his final breath was dedicated to teaching.
Today, He is remembered as:

उनकी किताबें जैसे Wings of Fire, Ignited Minds, और My Journey आज भी students को inspire करती हैं।
